The Anceis Jazz Unit continue to gather periodically to make music, with the notable addition of Danish bassist Pete Weiss, who alongside saxophonist Jackson Harvey, guitarist Emma Sjue, and drummer/producer Daniel Casares deliver the second release of the group.

On Burnin' the artists solidify their groove, getting jazzier and leaning towards a heavier sonority inspired by late 60's fusion groups such as Tony Williams' Lifetime. The recording packs a remarkable energetic effect and inspired solos by Jackson and Emma.
