Daniel has been performing live in the guitar trio format extensively, developing a freewheeling style that encompasses be-bop, explosive distorted bursts, free jazz, and fusion.

On Guitar! the artist sticks to a clean tone and a more traditional style inspired by the classic Warne Marsh approach of performing jazz tunes omitting the melody, achieving intensity through intricate improvised lines and an underlying forward-motion. It is the first outing by Daniel where he showcases this be-bop inspired style that carries influence from classic guitarists such as Wes Montgomery or Grant Green, although incorporating modern sensibilities in a post-Rosenwinkel vein. Pete Weiss on bass and Afonso Martínez on drums provide steady and fiery support under the guitar and deliver inspired solos.
