Moon Race is a contemporary jazz album by Galician guitarist and producer Daniel Casares. The album mixes jazz tunes with tracks that borrow their sonority from blues, rock, funk and experimental jazz. Moon Race is the first recording project in which the artist explores the influence of musicians such as Kurt Rosenwinkel, John Coltrane, Warne Marsh or Madlib more directly, while maintaining a personal compositional voice close to American popular music.
